WebTitan cells are resistant to phagocytosis due to the enlargement of the cell body [ 25, 26, 30, 31 ]. Moreover, it has been demonstrated that Titan cells and aneuploid daughter cells of Titans show increased resistance to many physico-chemical factors and toward some drugs commonly used in the therapy of cryptococcosis [ 29 ].
